Qld: Army reserve soldier shoots himself in chest

An army reserve soldier wanted over a fatal shooting in Melbourne has shot himself in the
chest at an army barracks just west of Brisbane.

Police say the 26-year-old man shot himself with a rifle at the Enoggera (pron: EN-og-RAH)
Army Base shortly after 4pm (AEST).

A spokesman says he's in Royal Brisbane Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Police believe the injured man killed 39-year-old MICHAEL DADOK in Dandenong yesterday, and
a white panel van used by him to escape has been located in Brisbane.

Civilian and military police are investigating the incident.





DADOK was shot outside his home by a man driving a 1998 white Ford panel van with side
windows and registration number PIQ-922.
