Qld: Furniture store destroyed in suspicious blaze

A firefighter's been treated for heat stress suffered while battling a fire in a Brisbanefurniture store.

The firefighter was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment before returningto the blaze at the Early Settler Furniture store in Windsor.

At least 26 firefighters tackled the fire which started just before 8.15pm (AEST) last night.

It was brought under control by 9.40pm, but the contents of the store were destroyed.

Neighbouring stores suffered extensive heat and smoke damage.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers are investigating the suspicious fire.
